22 years of evolution of the first great Garnacha wine in Spain
The best way to explain the greatness of a wine is through a vertical tasting ... and yesterday we had the opportunity to demonstrate it in Alimentaria. Cabrida proved to be the "first great wine 100% Grenache of Spain" citing the words of our esteemed Juan Fernández Cuesta (renowned taster and responsible for the ABC wine guide). Attendees could see with great surprise, as 22 years of evolution have not yet missed the "spark", the acidity, balance and intensity of our monovarietal Grenache of old vines.

The Next 4th of May
The next  4th of May, friday night, the12th edition of La Nit de les Garnatxes, will be held . We will wait for you at 11:00 PM at the Celler de Capçanes. This year involving two Michelin star restaurants and one musical star, Ramon Mirabet! Artists: Ramon Mirabet: His songs are the result of his life and experiences, that have transformed the life of Ramon Mirabet into an adventure.

According to the Selection Das Genussmagazin our winemaker Anna Rovira has been chosen as the best winemaker of the year. Our wines have been scored above 90 point, positioning Anna among the best women winemakers in Europe. Since our young and talented technical director landed in Capçanes 6 years ago, when she still had to finish the university, the Celler de Capçanes has not stopped receiving mentions and recognitions. This year the Celler de Capçanes celebrates 19 years participating in Prowein! A professional fair that without any doubt is shown as the most important in the wine sector. The prestigious magazine Gilbert & Gaillard dedicates an article to us at the winter edition after having been selected as the Best Revelation winery. A title that we have been awarded after obtaining gold medals in all our wines. "Gilbert Gaillard is delight to award the title of Best Revelation winery in Spain for 2017 to Celler de Capçanes. Its track history and the perfect co-operation between members of the co-operative have made  the wines truly unique, and promoted excellent quality."

Allison Levine
This month Allison Levine on his blog "Please the Palate" writes about the influence of terroirs on the grape and recommends the collection of La Nit de la Garnatxes del Celler de Capçanes. "There are general descriptors that say that sandy soils produce highly aromatic wines with low tannins and clay soils produce muscular wines with high extract. And there are examples of wines from around the world that demonstrate the influence on wines from sandy, volcanic, clay, limestone, slate and other soils.
