Is it because of the style, because of the aging in French barrels… or is it the blend influenced by Cabernet Sauvignon? We always say that “Costers del Gravet” is our most “Frenchized” wine with a style reminiscent of a typical Bordeaux red wine, with a generous body and peppery vegetal notes so typical of the Cabernet Sauvignon variety.
Be that as it may, Costers del Gravet has been the great winner of Capçanes before the jury of the International Concours de Lyon, obtaining a Gold medal for the 2020 vintage.
Costers del Gravet is an elegant, classic aged red wine, with generous body and great aromatic intensity, a true representative from D.O Montsant and Celler de Capçanes.
The origin of this estate wine is a single plot of land in the Llaberia valley, near the village of Capçanes. Quality in the world of wine is almost always marked by the location of its vineyards and the guarantee of origin, which in this case is total. The wine is presented with 3 labels, each of them containing old purchase-sale contracts of this same estate, signed by the religious authority of the town. A true testament to the generational shift.
