Jürgen Wagner, export manager and co winemaker at Celler de Capçanes was invited by Frank Smulders, Master of Wine, by Palais Coburg and by the Wine Academy of Austria to present our wines.
On Thursday, 17th of November, was hold the exclusive Spanish Master Class at Palais Coburg, 5*****plus Hotel in Viena, also known for its most espectacular wine cellar of Europe valued in over 17 Million Euros. Next to Spanish legendary wines like Vega Sicilia, Viña El Pison, Clos Mogador, Pintia, etc Capçanes presented its Cabrida 2009, Flor de Primavera 2009, Pinot Noir 5/X and others.
It was possible to experience the Capçanes old vines wines in a six centuries of building history in an architectural piece of art which was built on the former defence wall of the emperor's city, and as it was in the 19th century , the late residence of the House of Coburg-Gotha with its grand ceremonial rooms is still a venue for elegant representation.
Palais Coburg is a place for culinary indulgence, presentation of rare wines and a house in which guests, who love the extraordinary. The Palais Coburg Wine Archive currently includes more than 60,000 bottles of valuable wine spanning four centuries. Numerous rare wines from which only a few bottles exist, or perhaps even only found in Palais Coburg
