Capcanes, Peraj Petita, Rosé, 2012: After getting an advance tasting of this wine at KFWE back in February, the wine is now available in stores and only serves to add to Capcanes’ reputation as a quality producer of kosher wines.
If grape moth let us rest, in 15 days we have here the Festa Major of Capçanes 2013.
Wine is not the result of a defined recipe, it is not an exact formula to be repeated along the years, external factors such as weather (different every year) which make the plant "work" differently, treatments, date of harvest or winemaking process are never the same. Actually this is what gives excitement to our work and what makes us overcome day by day.
All effort has its reward; our wines are still collecting prizes and reaffirming their quality year after year. Here we present a summary of the recent awards given to Celler de Capçanes!
The German magazine "Managern Magazin" chose last 10th july the best rosé wines this year, among 300 samples our Mas Donis Rosat 2012 is in the top 20!
Last Sunday 7th July , Celler de Capçanes appeared in the Diari de Tarragona entrepreneurs' supplement for their participation in the project of the "Wolf Marley" which already attended in the last "Nit de les Garnatxes".
Once again the german magazin Selection has ofered the awards "Premium Select Wine Challenge" , among them Celler de Capçanes has received two silver medals for those wines:
Costers del Gravet 2010, 87 points
"Signtus" is the new wine from Montsant signed by Celler de Capçanes Cooperative used to make singular wines. This wine is a Grenache 2010 that wants to help and protect the highly endangered Iberian wolf specie and even plays with its scientific name (Canus lupus signatus) to baptize this new creation.
"Until recent years she was misunderstood, but if you open your heart, Garnacha reward you handsomely. There are many winemakers who have surrendered to its charms and today they declare their love in each processing"
In this way they described the passion for this increasingly international variety.
In the tasting conducted by Raul Serrano, Cabrida 2010 recieves 94p:
The Guide, which goes on sale in September 2013 and wich is going to be distributed in the international markets, has delivered the results of the scores of the wines that will be on the market this coming year.
