Passover Drinking

… Out of Monstant in Spain, so close to Priorat… The 2011 is current release but I see there are some 2008 wines. Go for it! This and its fancier sibling Flor de Primavera Perah Ha'abib do much better with age. The former, is my preference with its a mix of grenache, carignane and termpranillo. The fancy bottle has a hefty dose of cabernet and new oak….

“Emerging From the Shadows”

The New York Times dedicates an extensive article to DO Montsant under the title "Spanish reds emerging from the shadows" (02/22/2013). Including, Peraj Petita 2010 from Celler de Capçanes. For the NY Times, the DO Montsant is all a "discovery" and it is "an example of the Spanish transformation in the wine world".

On 24, 25 and 26th February, in Girona was held the "Gastronomic Forum 2013" where the Celler de Capçanes took part.
Among the programmed activities, Celler de Capçanes offered a tasting of their Grenaches with a  successful participation!
