La Nit de les Garnatxes

Clay, Garnatxa

100% Garnacha

Intense cherry bright colour. Nose of fresh raspberries, strawberries, plum stones, forest floor and lemon zest. Medium-bodied with bright acidity and sleek tannins. Fruity and vibrant with a delicious and lingering finish.

Garnatxa is a very versatile grape when it comes to pairings, and this is no exception. But considering the intensity and the full body of this Garnacha from clay soil, we suggest to enjoy it with grilled meats, lamb, casseroles and stews.

Vinous by Antonio Galloni 2024:

  • La Nit de les Garnatxes Clay 2023: 91 points. “The 2023 La Nit de les Garnatxes Clay hails from clay-rich soils in the village of Capçanes, Montsant. Aged for six months in used barrels, this purple-hued wine reveals aromas of cherry and sour cherry, accompanied by a hint of blood orange. Indulgent and rich, the ample, structured palate delivers a long-lasting fruit finish. This is an intense, bold Garnatxa with a modern nod. Drinking window: 2025-2034”.

James Suckling tasting 2018:

  • La Nit de les Garnatxes Clay/Argila 2016: 92p. I love the crushed wild-berry aromas with some floral notes, but also the deep, earthy quality. Then comes the great velvety texture on the ripe, but well-proportioned palate, the well-crafted dry tannins making the finish lively. Drink or hold.
